Journal of a hopeless 3rd Strike player

So yea...
It was on 34th 7th ave. Back in 2000, there was a Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike MAS (Multi Arcade Systems) cabinet inside this game store that closed down in 2003 (forgot the name of the store). I would cut school twice a week so I can go there to get my hands on Japanese/English dubbed Dragon Ball Z movies on VHS for $10 a pop. The hype that surrounded that 3s cabinet was insane. Not only you had teens but you also had grown men coming from work on their lunch break to play 3rd Strike. I must admit, they were pretty good (in my eyes at the time). In particular, I distinctively remember this one man dressed in a suit. He played Ryu. Nobody was able to get this man off the cab. I was kind of scared to play because I knew I would get my @$$ kicked in front of that rowdy crowd but forget about being defeated, I didn't even know what I had to do to play next! Like a noob, whoever lost, I would tap the loser’s shoulder to get his attention and ask if could play but then I would get bump off by some random that JUST walked into the store. I said ok, f#*k this, I’m going next. Got bumped again. Some @$$hole just went around me, took a random quarter that was standing on the edge of the cabinet’s control panel by the monitor, inserted his quarter inside the coin slot, slapped the start button…”N-N-N-NOW…FIGHT A NEW RIVAL” … this mother f#*ker -____-. I was new to the whole Arcade scene at the time so I didn't know the procedure in regards to playing in the rotation. Three rotations later of me spectating the game and the crowd hype, the man in the suit playing Ryu picked up his brief case, walked away from the cab, and said to me "here, you can take my game"... got my @$$ kicked my an Akuma player and died the final round with a move I HAVE NEVER SEEN IN MY LIFE! ...no not the raging demon, the thing where he punches the sh!t out of the ground (Kongou Kokuretsu Zan)...I got bodied and blown up in ways that would make you want to quit this game...but for some reason...I wanted more 3rd Strike!
